Variant

Vellfire provides three variants thats the Z Premier 2.4L Turbo, Z Premier 2.5 Hybrid and the Executive Lounge 2.5L Hybrid.

i. Toyota Vellfire Z Premier 2.4L Turbo

Powered by a 2.4L Turbo (T24A-FTS) engine with a Direct Shift-8AT automatic transmission in 2WD and 4WD drive options that are each sold at 6,550,000 yen (RM217,429.07) and 6,748,000 yen (RM224,001.73).

ii. Toyota Vellfire Z Premier 2.5L Hybrid

The Z Premier 2.5L hybrid is the same as the Alphard hybrid retailing at 6,900,000 yen (RM229,047.42) for the 2WD and 7,120,000 yen (RM236,350.38), the E-Four.

iii. Toyota Vellfire Executive Lounge 2.5L Hybrid

The hybrid powertrain for both the Alphard and Vellfire is the same, but the premium and luxury variant costs 8,700,000 yen (RM288,798.92) for the 2WD racer and 8,920,000 yen (RM296,101.88), the E-Four.

Variant

There are two variants offered, namely Alphard Z and Alphard Executive Lounge as follows:

i. Toyota Alphard Z

There are two powertrains offered for this, namely Z variant offers a 2.5 Liter gasoline engine (2AR-FE) and Series Parallel Hybrid System (A25A-FX 2.5 Liter) engine. A super CVT-i with a 2WD or 4WD driveline and a E-CVT transmission with a 2WD or E-Four driveline.

ii. Toyota Alphard Executive Lounge

The second variant offers a Series Parallel Hybrid System (A25A-FX 2.5 Liter) engine. This is similar to the Z variant with it's E-CVT tranmission and also 2WD or E-Four driveline.

These luxury MPV retailed in around the price range of 8,500,000 yen (RM278,080) for the 2WD variant and 8,720,000 yen (RM285,265), the E-Four.

Toyota plans to sell 8,500 Alphard and Vellfire vehicles per month in Japan, split 70:30. Both models are produced at the Toyota Auto Body Inabe Factory in the Japanese city of Kariya, Aichi Prefecture. In addition to the current MPV trends of natural aspiration (NA), turbo, and hybrid, Toyota plans to introduce a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) model in the near future.
