JPJ To Operate Longer Hours, Twice Per Week In Selected States

The Road Transport Department (JPJ) will operate longer hours on peak days to provide better service and to accommodate customers' needs. The extended operating hours will start on Monday (19th August) in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang, and Johor.

According to Aedy Fadly Ramli, the JPJ director-general announced that the extended hours will be applied during the high-volume days with significant numbers of customers which are, on Monday and Friday for Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, and Penang, and every Sunday and Thursday for Johor.

The announcement of extended hours by JPJ was made to enhance the service quality and ensure public comfort and well-being, aligning with the goals of Malaysia Madani.

He also added that JPJ is committed to improving the level of quality as well as efficiency of its services, especially at all service counters. This is in line with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's vision which was announced on the 16th August, during the announcement of the Public Service Remuneration System (SSPA) at the 19th edition of Majlis Amanat Perdana Perkhidmatan Awam 2024.
