The Highest Bid Number Plate In Malaysia: FFF 1

The 'FFF 1' vehicle registration number was purchased for RM1.75 million by Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim. This matter was announced via Sultan Ibrahim's official Facebook post last Thursday.

During an audience with the king in Istana Negara, Sultan Ibrahim was given the number plate by the Transport Minister, Loke Siew Fook.

The 'FFF 1' number plate, which was released by the Road Transport Department (JPJ) last month on 11 until 15 of May was to commemorate the 78th anniversary of the government agency as a part of the 'FFF' special series of plates.

Sultan Ibrahim has now surpassed the record for having the most expensive registration number plate in Malaysia, twice. The previous registration plate ‘FF 1’ had cost him RM1.2 million, while ‘GOLD 1’ cost RM1.5 million.

According to transport minister Anthony Loke, the goal of the FFF series of number plate bidding was to raise money for initiatives such as helmet distribution, Perkeso top-up contributions for 40,000 taxi drivers, rental cars, and school buses, and public service vehicle and B2 license sponsorship for the B40 community.
